Description

The Kieve- St.Nectan's Glen

Another shot from a while ago and this time the Kieve at the head of St.Nectan's Glen. In fact it is just out of Tintagel on the road to Boscastle, park in a small village called Trethevy and follow signs and you will find a beautiful Glen and small river to walk along for about 20 minutes and arrive at the Hermitage. Go through and down a very very bumpy and slippery flight of steps and be amazed at a 60 foot waterfall that spills into a basin before flowing out an extremely spiritual place. Wear your wellies to get any good shots as you have to stand in the water, ( turn off your flash but hold the camera steady for a long exposure ). All around are signs of the spiritual world , small offerings, stone piles and a cloutie tree ( I might point out all pictures I took of the tree but no other shots had orbs in the shot). All in all a wonderful place to visit and there is a website for it.

I'm glad you posted this Vince, we tried to visit last month, but the car park was packed full (half term) then the weather got worse so we decided to leave it until we go to Cornwall next April. I can see it will be worth the wait.
