About The Old Cider House

In the village of Nether Stowey, The Old Cider House lies at the foot of the Quantock Hills, England’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With a secluded garden and free parking, this Somerset guest house serves high-quality home-cooked food and brews beer in its own microbrewery. Each guest room has a flat-screen TV, mini-bar and tea and coffee facilities including a coffee machine. All have an en suite shower with hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Wi-Fi access is also available. An award-winning breakfast is served each morning, including local butcher’s sausages and bacon, and eggs from the Old Cider House hens. There is also homemade bread, jam and marmalade. A range of traditional English or international evening meals feature local ingredients and can be booked in advance. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine or real ale over dinner or by the log fire in the lounge. Nether Stowey is around 11 miles from Taunton and 9 miles from Bridgwater, and is just over 20 minutes’ drive from Exmoor National Park. Dunster Castle near Minehead is 30 minutes away, and you can reach attractions including Cheddar Gorge and Glastonbury Tor in around 45 minutes.
