Prelude to the Storm
5 stars
mark corby(19th July 2008)

The whole thing has a pleasing sort of balance to it. the white clouds on the right give a visual interest to your attention being pulled too far to the left with the obvious track and red barn on the other side. Simple subject but suberbly done.

This is good within the limits of the view, theres nothing immediately outstanding to catch the eye. Gorgeous colours

Overlooking Langdale Valley from Pike o Stickle
4 stars
mark corby(19th April 2008)

This is pretty good. It tells a story of high peaks rising suddenly and its well framed. Definitely not for the vertigo induced.

Market Place, Durham City.
5 stars
mark corby(18th April 2008)

This is really good. Good viewpoint, good composition. Its not too dark in dark areas and not too light in light areas, colours are good. I have a feeling its cropped but its done perfectly. This is professional standard. given its not everyones idea of a scene but its brilliantly done. 5 stars

Stream Nr Glenridding.

Stanedge Edge, The Dark Peak, Derbyshire

Loughrigg Tarn, Lake District

The House, Hardwick Hall, Doe Lea, Derbyshire
4 stars
mark corby(11th April 2008)

This is pretty good, I really like the inventive framing Could have done with more grass showing, leading to the background building. I gave you 4 for inventiveness. PS only a really special pic ever gets a 5.

Peterborough Cathedral

All Saint's Church, Catfield, Norfolk
4 stars
mark corby(10th April 2008)

5 stars
mark corby(10th April 2008)

The Fishermen, Seaham, County Durham
4 stars
mark corby(10th April 2008)

Good photo of what I am sure is famous local landmark. Its the sort of thing tourist boards ,local councils etc want to put on their website or print on a magazine. You should have moved the camera fractionally higher though and got the top of the weather vane in.

Stream at Glencoyne Bay, Ullswater.
4 stars
mark corby(10th April 2008)

I like this pic. Has a good sense of time and place and very ecovatice for anyone who has experienced something like this scene. To me it has a really good sense of when youre standing on a small bridge looking down on it and the sun has just come out. I gave it 4 instead of 5 because the trees at the top have been cropped off too much. Lovely photo though!

A Picture of Ludham in Norfolk
4 stars
mark corby(10th April 2008)

I quite like this photo. There's not really much subject matter there but it's really well done. I particularly like the depth of field with the twigs in the foreground Peggy has achieved, its almost like peeping over a hedge to see the river as you're walking along looking around.

First swimming lesson. Herrington Country Park.
4 stars
mark corby(10th April 2008)
