Fairfield Church stands isolated and abandoned in Romney Marsh. The village that it once served disappeared many years ago leaving only the church and scattered farmhouses. It is dedicated to Saint Thomas a Becket.

One of several and diverse areas of wetland that make up Romney Marsh, Walden Marsh lies to the East of Rye on the East Sussex and Kent border. Picture taken January 2004.
