Chimney's for large crows

This my dream house, in Eskdale. If anybody can tell me why a modest house would have such large chimneys

The larvae of the Pale Tussock moth

I took this picture while out for a walk in the beautiful Esk valley in Cumbria. My clothes got quite muddy lying on the ground next to this unusual creature

The Female Cross Spider

I was lucky to find a split second when the wind dropped enough for me to get a focused picture of a spider i use alot as a metaphor in my paintings

A single Fly Agaric

Taken while on a woodland walk in Eskdale, Cumbria. (one of my favourite places) Iv'e never seen so many of these toadstools in one place, but i rather liked that drop of red in all that green.
