Signpost dilemma!! Yet another signpost dilemma. We had come from Elterwater via Hodge Close and were heading back to Elterwater but took the longer route back to Elterwater via Skelwith Bridge The extra couple of miles in the hot July sun made the couple of pints of cider taste so much better outside the Britannia Inn in Elterwater This picture appears in the following picture tour: Camera Make: Canon Model: Canon EOS 500D |

Footbridge 2 Little Langdale Another view of the footbridge over the stream flowing from Little Langdale Tarn to Elterwater. Half a mile or so further down stream towards Elterwater is Colwith Force where the stream takes on a more animated appearance. Unfortunately there were too many folk clambering round on this visit but also not an exciting volume of water flowing through. Maybe next time!!
