Born on the Felling ,near 'Gateshead 'County Durham.
Moved down to 'Keyworth' in Nottingham at the age of 5 in the early 1960's with my Parents and fellow siblings as did , many other Coal Miners .

Grew up in Keyworth , what was then a small village , enclosed by countryside and spent many hours with close friends , camping in the local woods and countryside learning to swim in the local brook named locally named as the "Sailors ' many generations grew up enjoying the pleasures of ' Lings lane ' and its great views .
