Ruins of Old Hall, Duddon Valley nr Duddon Bridge

Rugged track, Duddon Valley nr Duddon Bridge

Rugged isolated track leading down from Stickle Pike to the Duddon Valley below, past Hole House, it was fast becoming a stream with all the rain we were having.

Stickle Pike, Duddon Valley, Cumbria

Stickle Pike is a fell in the southern Lake District,the summit is situated between the lower Duddon Valley and the smaller valley of Dunnerdale. it is (375 m, or 1230 ft) high. A "stickle" is a hill with a prominent rocky top. We attempted to climb it, but had to give up, it was so boggy we were in danger of getting stuck.
