Belper at Night

Taken on New Year's Eve 2013. The town of Belper at night with North Mill in the centre of the picture. Above, the winter constellations of Gemini, Orion and Taurus wheel silently overhead with Jupiter prominent in the centre of the view. This is a composite image made from two exposures. One at ISO 6400 to capture the stars and a second for the town.
