Picture of wet area on Skye, on the road to Glendale.

Grab shot when I stopped on the roadside near Glendale. This is the road that takes one to Elgol. This was a slide film shot. I found this while looking through some old slides. This was my first visit to Skye some years ago. I was then hooked to the place.

Highland highway.

This highland road was newly laid tarmac and I stopped to take the shot as I was the lone traveller of the morning. Sun rising on the left of the shot. In the distance are the Cullin Hills. This is the other side of the Cullins and opposite from the view from Elgol.

This was a grab shot from the roadside. I wish I had used a tripod for this, as I now see it could have been a much better picture. I cropped some off the foreground as there was too much empty space, The stone circle on the left side must be for a pen of some kind, maybe for sheep?

The Quarrang Landscape, Isle of Skye.

This wonderful location is at the top end of Skye. and has such an amazing array of Rock Formations. It's landscape just blows you away, as it looks like another world! You just have to be there to see it. The shot was captured around mid afternoon, so the sun was shining from the right of the picture. The sunlght has caught the bush and has lit it with it's glow. I have seen this view taken at sunrise in other pro pictures, and it can look great when captured with the right coloured morning skye. Great pictures are all to do with the right light! I will have to keep on trying!

Quarrang, Isle of Skye

The Quarrang Landscape, is an amazing place to see, as this is like another world . Like going back in time, when the different landscapes were formed over many years! You have to see it's glory with your own eyes!

Talisker Bay, Skye.

Evening sunset, Talisker Bay, Isle of Skye. It's quite a walk to this bay, and I just managed to get there in time, before the sun set. The stones in the foreground are very large, and a scramble to walk across them. This must have been at low tide, and was my first day on Skye. But I had many more great days while I was there! Recommend this Island for a visit.

Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye.

The rock formation of this landmark is amazing! looks a bit Jurassic Park! It is quite a climb to get up there, and I am not getting any younger! Glad I did it all the same, as it was worth getting this close. The rock stands at least 100ft tall, and I saw a pair of Eagles flying around while I was up there.
