Dawn of a dream - Bodiam Castle
5 stars
Barrie Brown(8th March 2012)

Yes, and the setting, and the moment, timeless ... brilliant!

London
5 stars
Barrie Brown(12th February 2012)

Brilliant shot, very dramatic, very Hitchcock.

Autumn Heron
4 stars
Barrie Brown(1st February 2012)

I saw the thumbnail but didn't see the heron. When I opend the image my eyes were drawn to the leaves, and then noticed the ('ghostly') bird. An interesting option.

Footpath through the Bluebells
5 stars
Barrie Brown(1st February 2012)

Love the composition and simplicity of the image. Particularly like how the blue bells appear to flow down the hillside. The colours appear to have a mediteranean feel per lavender on the hillides in the south of France.

Hebden Beck
5 stars
Barrie Brown(1st February 2012)

Lovely image, I can feel the atomosphere of the Dales. Interestingly the composition is very similar to your image taken Austwick i.e. the blue bells appear to flow down the image like the stream.

Elterwater
5 stars
Barrie Brown(7th January 2012)

Three great shots, quite dramatic/evocotive.

Merry Christmas

Hi Mick, have had a period of AWOL, but back in business again. Good to see your brilliant and extensive portfolio. Like the above image, perfect lighting conditions for the mellow image.

Love the sweeping, elegant lines of this intimidating place.

Bits of Boats
5 stars
Barrie Brown(29th March 2011)

Like this one Sally, my style. Have just added a similar image of a rusty old winch on a beach.

Winter on Rannoch Moor
5 stars
Barrie Brown(29th March 2011)

Like the misty monochrome effect. Also appears to have a Japanese influence. Can imagine a pagoda roofed building next to the 'bonsai' tree.

Derelict Fishing Boat
5 stars
Barrie Brown(13th March 2011)

Yes, agree with the above comment "Has the look of modern art." Can almost feel the texture.

Shadows On The Shore
5 stars
Barrie Brown(10th March 2011)

Love this one, soft lighting, and calm setting a stark contrast to the tempestuous seas endured by the boats.

Windswept Beach
5 stars
Barrie Brown(10th March 2011)

Great set of images, powerful and dynamic.

Eventide
5 stars
Barrie Brown(10th March 2011)

Another great one Sarah, you've captured those 'raggy' black flags of the 'pirate fishermen')

Lovely strong image, the cool mellow lighting reminds me of Provence in winter.

Eastbourne Pier
5 stars
Barrie Brown(7th February 2011)

Thank you for your comments. Underneath the shiny facade lies a rustic relic. Probably held together by Hammerite:-)

From golden sands to Theddlethorpe
5 stars
Barrie Brown(16th December 2010)

Like the spaciousness, cotton wool clouds, and lone figure, almost surreal

Sandtrain at Mablethorpe
5 stars
Barrie Brown(10th November 2010)

Have enjoyed reviewing your extensive range of images. This is one of my favourites, I like the menacing skies, depth of colour, which I find powerful and evocotive.
