About Me

I was given my first camera by my father at the age of 6, and have been carrying one around ever since. In 2005 I 'retired' my Fuji 35mm SLR and went digital with a budget camera from Novatech, which was particularly good at taking pictures of gravestones - very useful for my family history research. It also explains why a lot of my pictures are of villages and their churches as one or other of my distant family would have been born/lived/married or died there! Christmas 2010 I treated myself to 2 second hand cameras: a Canon Powershot small enough to fit in a pocket or handbag, and a Fuji Finepix S5700 (which is half way between a point and shoot DSLR and the full monty!). Hope to have many hours of fun using them.
