Clock in rememberance of Sir William Houldsworth in the centre of Houldsworth Square, to commemerate his death. It now stands on a raised circular patio, surrounded by flower beds.

Houses built for William Houldsworth's Mill workers, these houses sometimes accomodated 10 people in one house.

Originally built for use by the Mills, now just a derelict weir, which is said to be haunted by the ghost of a woman, who's child was killed many years ago. People claim to have seen and heard her ghost, kneeling by the weir and crying.

These Houses were bought for £100 by a local man and renovated in the 1990's, toilets and running water were added, as previous to this they had outside lavvies and no running water indoors, getting water from a large well situated where I stood to take the photograph.
