Sheffield's Tardis

Beside the Sheffield Town Hall is an old, wooden police box that has been called "The Tardis". It is on Surrey Street and still exists.

Standing on South Street and looking over the old Midland Station you can see what once was called Sheffield College of Technology, now Hallam University, The town hall sticking up into the sky and the Howard Hotel - the black and white timbered hotel at the foot of the tallest building.

Sheffield town hall

This building has changed little but its surroundings have changed beyond recognition since this shot. At least the "Tardis" police box is still there, but out of shot. Vulcan stands on the highest point of the tower.
