About Me

I love England! I work as a legal secretary for a large firm in Washington, DC and spend my free time at work enjoying the wonderful photos on POE. I'm the proud mum of a 29-year-old son, Matthew, and a 27-year-old daughter Elizabeth. I've been to England twice and Wales once for a total of 20 days and I felt right at home. Such a beautiful place - the gardens, the people, the architecture, the history. Of course my ancestors were English/Scots/Irish as well. Being a born-again Christian, seeing the beauty of England only reinforces my belief in His wonderful creation. I'm particularly fond of a good farmhouse cheese and real ale, and I do so enjoy afternoon tea - with proper china teapot and teacups and tasty biscuits or scones. I might be American, but I take milk in my tea! My fantasy is to live in a chocolate box thatched cottage with mullioned windows and a garden full of flowers in or near a charming village where I own and operate a tea room, book store or the like. I suppose I have been reading too much Rosamunde Pilcher or watching too much "Midsomer Murders" and "Miss Marple", haven't I? :-)
