Chinatown, gate detail - The arch is the biggest in Europe at some 15m high and is said to bring good luck to the community. It was made in Shanghai, to celebrate the Chinese year of the dragon and the twinning of the city with Liverpool. There are over 200 dragons carved into the wood and marble construction.This shot shows the detail in the roof and the vibrant colours used.Feng shui apparently played a large role in the placing of the arch in Chinatown

India Building, Liverpool - Built in the late 1920s, this office building is located in the city centre and was designed so that it could be converted to a warehouse, should it have proved difficult to let. The main feature is the vaulted arcade that runs through the centre which is lined with small shops
