This monument is straight on the other side of the street where the famous Barter Books is located. Designed by Charles Harper, the column was erected as thanks to the second Duke of Northumberland, by tenants of the Duke in 1816, following a reduction by the Duke in their rents.This picture appears in the following picture tours:
