My family in 1600 lived in Little Paxton. Richard Ashcrofte was married to Alice Towers daughter of Lord Mayer of London. His son John went to Barbados had a 10 acre plantation there in 1653 then his son John went to Mystic Sea Port Grotton , Conn., USA. Any information on Little Paxton and Ashcrofte would be appreciated. I love England and Countryside. God bless.

I'm glad that I stumbled on to this site. It just reminds me how beautiful England really is. Ok, it's not as beautiful as my home country of Scotland but it comes a close second !!!

Bristol is a great town. Actually my third visit. Came for the balloon fiesta. Wonderfully organised. The people were quite receptive, friendly and courteous so i was not lost in the crowd being a black. Can't wait to return again for the next balloon fiesta. Kudos to the people of England and Kudos to pictures of England.

It was wonderful finding your site. As I understand it my fraternal great grandparents owned a tea room in either Henley-in-Arden or Stratford-on-Avon in the late 1800's or early 1900. I would love to know more about the tea room. Their names were Louisa and Frederick Bayliss. Louisa also ran a meeting room for the Cyclist Touring Club where the cyclist would come to rest and refresh themselves.

Great website. I have lived in England only two years out of the last fifty six so when I feel a little nostalgic I like to take a tour of the old country with sites like yours. Keep up the good work.
