I forgot to mention in my earlier message that the families I am looking for are the Thompson, Lyons, Sharpe, McBride and North and I believe they would all be from Hull, Yorkshire. My mom lived on Hessle Road and then later they were on Cecil Street. She was evacuated during the war to another village in the country with her older brother, Brian. Thanks again for your site.

My husband , son and I lived 17 months in the Oxfordshire area and 19 in Suffolk, (June 1997-June 2000). We all miss the wonderful time we spent in your wonderful country and feel blessed to have had the opportunity. I love genealogy and my husband loves golf. My main paternal lines connected to FRENCH was from either Dorset or Scotland. He was able to play St. Andrews twice. We hope to be able to have a vacation there in the next year or so . God bless

This site takes care of the times when I'm feeling homesick. It brings back memories of the wonderful camping trips with my senior school to the West Country, the Lake District and New Forest. It's also shown me things that I took for granted growing up, things that I must see when I come 'home' to visit. Thank You.

What beautiful pictures, what a beautiful country. I write to a girl since 5th grade, yes started as penpal, am now 58. We still keep in touch. This was neat to be able to see pictures from where she lives Glossop, Derbyshire. I hope to make it there someday.

I always dreamed of English cottages and gardens and wondered if they were really so beautiful. I am a lover of Thomas Kincaid's work. Thank you for this site. Now I can see for myself.

Was station at Stansted AFB 1955-1957. Part of an Engineer Aviation Battalion (803rd EAB). We built the now existing runway and taxiways over fifty years ago. Am sure that everything has been upgraded many time. Loved my time there.
