I am planning a visit to Cornwall in April 2007. My father's ancestors were from Cornwall. Roman Fyler and two sons came to America in the 1500's. Our original name was Fyler. Spelling was changed to Filer after coming to the states. Looking forward to finding some relatives and seeing this beautiful place.

How wonderful! I was looking for pictures of England and got so much more! I lived in England (N.Yorks.) from 1981-1984, and miss it. I travel back whenever I can and am working toward a Masters degree in British History. You now permanently reside in my bookmarks. :)

I found this wonderful site while looking in my England file. I spent nearly every other weekend in Eastbourne while station at RAF Sculthorpe between 1957 and 1960. Fell in love with the town and the people and never forgot either one. Thank you for giving me a chnace to go back at least visually. Don

Very pleased you accepted pictures of Halsway Manor, the lovely Elizabethan building in Crowcombe, Somerset. This wonderful homely place is HQ for an educational charity that works to preserve and teach the traditional folk music song and dance heritage we are so lucky to share. Placed as it is on the southern slopes of the Quantock Hills (AONB) it attracts people from all over, Europe and USA especially. Come and see us you'll not regret it. www.halswaymanor.org.uk

I went over to the fair city of Grimsby in June of 2006. I went there to meet a wonderful lady I had known for almost one year. I must say, it was fantastic. The sites, the views, and the woman. I fell in love with her and am now moving there to marry. Not to worry, people of Grimsby, I am a hard working man of good stock. I will be proud to call Grimsby, England my home.

I'm so jealous right now. I have lived in England for the 1st 10yrs of my life and all these pictures are bringing back so many memories. There is one town you forgot to submit under East Yorkshire. It's the most beautiful town on the coast called Filey.

I have vacationed many times in your beautiful country, most recently for my sister's wedding to a wonderful Englishman, and have just become friends with someone from West Midlands. Your website is fantastic and has given me lots of information for planning an upcoming visit. Many thanks...

This is the link to my beloved roots. Born and raised in Wiltshire, I have been in Canada for over 40 years and England is and always will be a passion. Love the pictures, especially to find Cley Hill near Warminster, so many times I climbed it with friends and family. Now I can rotate my background on the computer with memories of childhood.
