Valerie(13th June 2016 - Heacham)
Hello, I have been browsing for a place to stay near Gibraltar Point in Lincolnshire and how found quite a few. Also you have got Heacham in Norfolk in the 15 mile region BUT this is a mileage straight across The Wash and not by land! It is about 70 miles around The Wash. Thought this might help for other people browsing. Very nice site though and thank you.

Thank-You for sharing a beautiful picture of my family's bridge built so very long ago, it was attached to a Parish & land that my family owned at one time. But a royal wanted the land next and you know.

I am looking up my relatives and didn't realize England had states (?) and counties or are they parishes (?). My relatives came from Lincolnshire but I am not sure exactly which parish. I'd like to find a map of Lincolnshire with all the details. Is there a Whitman River? What beautiful country. I can't imagine my relatives leaving and taking the scary trip to America. Thanks.

My family here in the United States goes back to 1755 Isham Alford. I believe we originally came with the first settlers to Jamestown Virginia.

My family name is Whittle. We trace our family back to a George Whittle, a wine and spirit merchant, from Haslingden. Can you tell me how to get more information about him and his occupation?

Such a beautiful country. It has always been a dream of mine to visit. The photos just make me want it more.
Random England fact:
Studland Beach, in Dorset, has been used by naturists for nearly 100 years. Two of its naturist visitors were author George Bernhard Shaw and children's authoress Enid Blyton. With her familiarity of the area, the nearby village of Studland was the basis for Toytown in her Noddy books and used again in her Famous Five stories.
