Hi everyone, just thought I should introduce myself. I'm Nick, I'm 16 and from Windsor in Berkshire. I decided to join this site as a way of thanking it for the sense of pride it has given me about my country when I had previously hated England. I will be submitting my own pics in due course and look forward to being a member of the site.

Hello, Nick.  Welcome to the POE.  It's a fantastic website, glad you joined.  I like the reasons you stated about why you like the site and felt inspired to join.  You really do live in a marvelous country.  Noticing the good stuff all around you is actually a choice.  It's really easy to get down on your country by watching the news and reading the papers, same here in America.  But then, go outside with your camera and realize there's a lot of beauty among the bad stuff.  They are not mutually exclusive; you must make the choice to notice them.  Don't let yourself get caught up in "groupthink," where everbody's bashing everything.  Enjoy yourself here and I look forward to seeing your pictures.

Hi Nick, welcome to POE and the forums. Glad that someone younger than the rest of us old buzzards has come in. Maybe we will get some fresh views now instead of the old jaded ideas from some of us. I am young at heart if not body.

Hope you enjoy it here. Dont forget to come in and talk with us on the forums.

Hi Nick and welcome to PoE.  What a lovely place to live.  I have only just mentioned Windsor in another post and particularly the Memorial to J F Kennedy at Runnymede which I believe is about six miles away.  I couldn't find any photos here so maybe if you're that way you could be the first!

Hope you enjoy your stay with us here.

Welcome to POE Nick, at last there is somebody in the forum who can finally keep that Peter in his place! He argues with everybody, and has a growth of some sort on his chin that actually stops us from seeing just how ugly he really is!! Of course, I'm only joking Nick, but hey, thats what we are all about in the forum. We have a great time here and often help each other out with information, in particular photographic, but let me tell you now there is one very clever lady called Maria (MG) who is a mind of information when it comes to the PC!!

As for your reasons for joining us, Bravo mate!! POE really has captured the imagination of millions of visitors and it has come about by the work that Chris and Sarah put in on our behalf, as well as the support of the members, enjoy it, and don't forget to start a few new threads.
