I was on here Sunday until 7.45 pm, turned laptop off to watch DOI then put it on again at 10.00pm, still in the same place but no internet connection, I left it until this morning, still off line, after doing all the checks I rang BT, who TRIED to guide me through what to do, but I could not understand the female and therefore gave up, I tried again later and got a man on the line who also spoke broken English, I had to keep asking him to repeat himself and spell out what he told me to write in but he did not know the phonetic alphabet and just used names which he thought of, eventually it worked, how on earth can this happen, I need a book to do these things myself to prevent getting a headache trying to understand broken English, and I wonder why, when I get a call from BT trying to sell me something the person on the other end of the line speaks perfect English.

Does anyone else have this problem ???????

Its a sign of the times Peg. Most big companies use a call centre in India these days. I just wish they would use people that spoke English properly. Cheap labour again, but how can it be cheaper talking to someone in India than someone in the UK? Beats me. You try phoning for an answer to a computer quetion. They cant understand you then.

It's very important to empty internet cache Peggy. That will often sort the problem, have you done that lately?

On the back of the modem there should be a power cord. If you unplug that then wait a few seconds, plug it back in and see if your internet comes back up. It may not be immediate though...a minute or so maybe.

I have to do that to mine every so often. (That's what I have to tell my clients at work too!! LOL!!)

I would like to be able to keep my place better when I am looking at a many- numbered line of photos.  Maybe # of photo somewhere above the actual picture.
