Currently there is no way to choose or personalise your avatar (the picture/graphic that represents you as a user) and every user is currently represented by the same standard green one throughout the site. However, we will be changing this so that users can either select from a variety of pictures on the site, upload their own avatar, or even choose a picture from their own gallery to use as one. Hopefully this functionality will be available in the next week or so. We'll let you know in a newsletter when the avatar system is ready to use. Many thanks for putting up with the standard default ones in the meantime!

I added one but I do not see it. Does it take a little time to appear maybe?

Hi Sue
It should appear as soon as the image has finished uploading, though you may need to refresh a couple of times. I'm not sure of the image filesize limit though (I'll find out later and put instructions on the upload page) so try resizing the image to something closer to the avatar size which is 100x100 pixels, though the image I am using was 500 pixels and worked fine

Well I've tried several pictures I've taken of the English countryside and a picture of a snail (yes, a snail) but none of them will show, but this one of me will, so I will stick with this until I can figure out what is going on.
