Sorry we keep getting interrupted by the nutters MG but seems to be just POE, and was noticeable after Chris and Sarah added the slide show thingy on the homepage! Well that's what I think anyway. That's why I asked if others were having problems, but like all the threads here in the forum it has tended to drift away again!

Lyn,

why do you have a doormat on your pc? You can buy nice transparent dust covers, they would be better surely?

Ray.

Hi Ron, the little slideshow on the homepage is a piece of Javascript code and it's supposed to give you no problem in itself.  Unfortunately, IE6 is not a rocket with JS either (IE7 has been improved Javascript side but the cure would be worse than the disease ;-).

Make sure JS is enabled in your browser (nor 'disabled' or 'prompt') by clicking on Tools/Internet Options/Security/ Scripting/Enable.

Also, If POE is your homepage, try setting a different one, open IE again, go on POE and see if it is slow yet.  That's to check whether it might not be the browser itself that's got slow opening as an application, for some other reason.

In any case, stick to Firefox :).
