yep that's the place - that's on old photo and although the builder has done a lot of the work there still is a lot to do

Midge Hall  is surrounded by the river Beck on three sides – the only access to the property is over a footbridge. If you do the coast to coast walk you pass right in front of the house. It is truly a magical place

I think the word to describe the area would be idyllic.

I definitely need to come up and visit on my next trip. I have added the web site Lyn gave in my favourites.

Hi  Things are moving on a pace – I am in contact with someone whose grandma lived at the property and hopefully he is going to send us some photographs of how it looked in the sixties. These will be very helpful as Steph (my lovely wife) and I want to try and recreate the garden and a pictorial reference would be very helpful. The house is grade two listed so anything we want to do needs to be approved, in some way this is a good thing but in others it does hinder what we would like to do. As a family of 5 – three children under 5 – we have a lot of stuff. Not to mention all the garden paraphernalia! We are working closely with the Grade 2 listed people to come up with solutions. Time will tell. Still trying to find old images of Midge Hall – any advice of where to look would be gratefully received

Welcome, Jack. I have no idea where Midge Hall is in England, can you tell me? Where is it near? It sounds fabulous and right up my alley (I`m a tea lover), when would you possibly be open? Possibly May 2009(that`s when I hope to be back in England)?. Congrats.
