Hi Scott:  Nice avatar.  You look a little young to have blue hair though!  LOL. Just kidding.  Smile People can automatially see your photos by just clicking on your name, that's how I knew about the photo you had already posted.  If you click on the name of any person on the forum, the website automatically brings up the page with all the photos submitted by that individual.  It isn't necessary to provide a link to another photo sharing website unless you're putting stuff up that are photos taken outside the Briish Isles.  Hope this helps.

Hi Roland

When you're logged in to the site, visit the thread you no longer wish to receive emails alerts for, and click the link 'Stop watching this thread' which is located towards the top of the page just under the page title and navigation . That will stop all those emails you've been receiving. No need to do it for this thread though as I've just done it for you.

The Humber Bridge

Hello Poe and thank you for the welcoming!

Got it sorted now, thanks!

This is a picture of mine of the Humber Bridge which I think is one of the best sites in the UK.

Wow! Wonderful picture Scott.

You should pop on over to the User introductions forum, and introduce yourself and we can all welcome you there. Also the birthday thread too which is in the Off-topic chat forum.

A superb photo of Humber Bridge by Scott. I think it might be worth mentioning for our overseas friends that, after it opened in July 1981, it was the longest single-span suspension bridge in the world for 16 years, and still the longest---7,283 feet---in the world you can cross by foot. There's enough cabling in it to almost go twice around the world.

A classic example of British design and engineering which even Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear compared favorably against today's Rolls-Royce which is anything but, and now only screwed together in England from imported parts.

And I had the pleasure of driving over it 6 times yesterday. I never tire of it though, but I wish they (the Humber bridge board) would scrap the £2.70 charge per crossing. Saying that, I paid £10.10 the other day to cross the Severn bridge (the original bridge).
