Here's another of my faves. I particularly love the foreground silhouettes against the water, the reflections in the water, and everything else about this image

Amberley Castle...  I think this is a lovely picture and a reminder of what beauty and wonderful history is right on our doorstep, it also brings back some very precious memories for me personally.

Here is a picture of a place I am determined to see for myself sometime. Its Ashnes Bridge in the lake district.

Ian, you really do need to go to ashness bridge, its such a great view, Walla crag is very close, and the views from up there are stunning, and the effort of getting up there only moderate Smile  I've camped up here so many times and every time is like the first, stunning place.

Ian, I am glad that you have made your mind up. You will enjoy the Lake District, but as I have said before be prepared to walk. Easdale Tarn from Grasmere, Haystacks said  to be Wainwright,s favouriite mountain are good walks and not to difficult. Look up Ann Bowker.s Mad about Mountains  or David Hall Lake District Walks Both give a good insight into walking in the Lake with plenty of pictures. Any further help let me know
