Hi Dennis, welcome. If you are mad, then so am I. I carry practically everything with me too. Every september, I head off to Cornwall, on my own to take photo's. Dont care what the weather is like, as long as I can keep my camera reasonably dry. Sometimes I have trouble walking with all the gear, but that is part of the fun.

Keep up the photography, and dont forget to post.

You don't have to be mad, mad, mad to join in with this forum Dennis, but if you are it helps!! Seems that Peter is suffering in the same manner because he owns up to carrying a similar amout of gear also. Me? I carry a digital camera....period! However, keep those great pics coming, we will appreciate them even more now that we know just how much effort you put into them.

As a bird watcher first and foremost, I must admit I am a bit worried about how I am going to carry my new camera, lens, and other photographic paraphernalia. My binoculars will take pride of place around my neck, but my camera has to be just as handy.

What is this Rover AW that you mention, and is there a special backpack Dennis (or is it Daniel )?

Dennis, you are so badly prepared. How on earth can you ski with wet weather trousers on? I'm with your family on this one! LOL.

Dennis your a star, when i first took up photography a few years ago (had to pack it in due to ill health) iused to walk everywhere and i too carried a lowepro rucksack with everything in it, the biggest item being my sigma 170/500mm lens unfortunatly i no longer have my gear just a trusty canon compact but next month im treating myself to a digital slr thanks to a little inheritance thats just come my way so im looking forward to hitting the road again regardless of weather conditions, some people may call you mad but i would say a better word is committed.

You are often committed when you are mad. It keeps the streets safer! lol

LOL, I see this a post that was started way back when.  For a moment, when I saw the title of the thread, I thought someone had decided to do a POE fourm members biography.  LOL!  Innocent
