First, do you think this skeleton is here (Gloucester Catherdral) all the time, or was it a one off thing?

Second, am I the only one who thinks its nasty?  I, like Cathyml, just don't quite get it.

I think it is quite strange Sue! Gives me the impression that someone died waiting for their prayers to be answered! A bit creepy!

Maybe the inscription 'I really am hungry' should be attached?

I think it's pretty pathetic actually and don't understand what the person responsible for it, is trying to suggest.

I googled this and it was part of the Crucible 2010 Sculpture Exhibition in Gloucester Cathedral.

Called "Waiting for Godot" by Marc Quinn.

Not my cup of tea at all!

I think you are wrong James - it really would miss and make a mess too.  I really don't like this sculpture very much, particularly where it is!!

I agree, I find it distasteful.

Oh dear! The picture has gone. Did Victor remove it, Ron? I hope he is not upset by our thread. It was the subject matter that we didn't like, as opposed to the picture.

Should I contact him, do you think?

Hi Sue. I don't know who removed it and I hope it wasn't Victor thinking he had upset us, but I suppose it was. I re-read my post and you can actually read into it that I am upset, but not so, I was referring to the person responsible for the piece of artwork (if thats what you can call it). It's a great picture/capture!

So Victor, please don't be offended, it's been a good conversation piece, and Sue if you want to reload it, why not?

Maybe a PM to Victor will resolve it Sue?
