It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of fellow Pictures of England member John Ware, who sadly passed away on December 23rd 2010.

John had posted some truly wonderful photos on the site, over 400 in total, one of which he kindly gave us permission to use when we were planning to produce a Pictures of England calendar.

His wife Valerie, who informed us of his passing, has kindly given us permission to continue to show John's photos on the site, as she knows it gave him a lot of enjoyment having them on here.

Please take a look through John's gallery (see link below), as he posted some really exceptional photos, giving a lot of enjoyment to all those that came across them.

Here is one of our favourites, and one of the photos chosen to represent December in the Pictures of England calendar. Please feel free to add your favourite photo from John's gallery too.

Rest in peace John, and our thoughts and prayers go out to Valerie and family.
