Just wondering how everyone goes about taking photos. Are you planners or spur of the moment snappers? Do you always take your camera with you or do you have specific times? Are there things that draw you specifically? Etc. etc. etc...

I always have my camera with me and have started making a point of taking the dogs walks to different places. It's great, I'm finding lots of new paths! Some things I know I'd like to photograph, and some things I know I'll go back to at different seasons. But then there are fantastic surprises that usally end up better than the planned shots!

I seem to be incapable of taking a photo that doesn't involve water at the moment.  After deliberately going to Coggeshall because it's inland, I ended up taking photos of buildings on the river. And benches. For some reason I have a thing about benches, old barns and anything else falling to pieces...

I take my camera everywhere! Even to the store! You never know when you'll find a great shot! I also find it a reason to get up early to take a walk just as the sun comes up!

Also...I find that since I started taking photos I tend to look in places I've never looked before...looking in the grass or at trees...or looking up at the clouds. Everything has taken on a diffrent look...everything is beautiful now!

Always at least one camera in my pocket. No favorite subjects, just make pictures of that what I found worthwhile to perpetuate (hope that is the proper phrase). Thanks God for digital camera's.
