Hot buttered toast and Marmalade, or Marmite, with Cranberry juice for starters and a decent strong cup of tea! Apart from that poached eggs on toast go down well with me! Hardly missing from POE but as this thread seems to have turned into a Menu, why not?

Lovely to see you back among us Ron! So where is the photo of the poached eggs on toast next to the strong cup of tea?  There is a distinct deficit of photos of typical english food on POE !  Have pity on the ex pats, and others from elsewhere who do not know this side of England.

There are tons  of recipes out there for scones and sometimes you can find them in grocery stores (bakery). I have never seen them look like that before, though. The clotted cream might be hard to find but specialty stores or 'international' stores should have it. Where are you? There is a store in LAs Vegas called the International market and you can find everything under the sun there. I found Greek sea salt and olives there. They had an aisle dedicated to British foods, a German aisle, and Italian, a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern aisle, etc.
