Ive got quit a few songs that I like,

A lot of them were made in the 1950s 60s and 70s I love these decades as for three reasons

1.      the songs I can under stand them and could tell what they were saying (I must be getting old hey Ron LOL)

2.      the artist  could really sing

3.      The times where happier and the people where lot nicer in them days or it seemed that way anyway.

My favourites are

1950s 13 Jun 1953 I Believe Frankie laine and 31 Oct 1959 Mack the Knife 1: Bobby Darin
2: Louis Armstrong

1960s   1 Jun 1961 Elvis Presley Surrender and again 9 Nov 1961 Elvis Presley His Latest Flame and last I love this 0 Sep 1969 Creedence Clearwater Revial Bad Moon Rising

1970s   2 Jul 1975 Johnny Nash Tears On My Pillow and 6 Mar 1976 Tina Charles I Love To Love and last

29 Apr 1978Bee Gees Night Fever

I could go on and on but I like these

Nice selection Shaun. One of my favourites, New York Mining Disaster by the Bee Gee's. You just have to listen to the words, they tell a very emotional story.

The list could go on for ever :

a few: Love is all around - Troggs

Sittin' on the dock of the bay - Otis Redding

United we stand - Brotherhood of man

That's enough for now!

Winners of the Eurovision Song Contest do tend to be forgotten about with one notable exception of a Swedish entry.

And they're still going strong Cathy after all these years south of us in Andover. The Hollies are touring in March so a few of my favourites of theirs----- He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother; The Air That I Breathe, and Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress. Smile
No wonder it took me ages to re-find this thread, under Picture Chat ???
