Shoot me down if you like but.... On a site called "Pictures Of England" why do folk include photos of sunsets ? As nice as it looks it's not really anything English is it..... or is it ?

Hi Mick

As most of the sunset pictures on the site contain landscape or coastal scenery on them, i'd say that most of them are very English. I think the beauty or attraction of sunset pictures (for me anyway), is how the rich beautiful colours cast out by the setting sun, add a whole new dimension to the landscape/seascape below.

Hello Mick Bean and  .

As someone who has moved away from England, I am so very grateful for pictures of the sky, bugs, animals, anything that represents my homeland.

Here is one of my pictures. Lovely isn't it!

The sun sets over Wiltshire

Welcome to the website Mick, you look a little bit older in your avatar than a few around here, but probably not as old or ugly as that Peter! It's a really great fun site and forum Mick with plenty of great pictures from the members, enjoy it! Oh, and by the way get your teeth fixed for a decent photo for the avatar.

Sue H, that pic reminds me of you with your mouth open! Black at the roof, a really red sore throat from bellowing at me during the past few weeks and the hole in the middle? Well, umm, err.....

 Hello you lot,

I knew some clever cloggs would mention the sunsets with landscape or coastal scenery but I mean the sky one's, you know, the one's with nothing but sky. I did say shoot me down and you did, great shot, well done. Thanks for the welcome Ron Brind but I have been around a while and put stuff up in the past, I really ought to look in more often, right now I'm off to sort my teeth out... bye for now

Like my picture, right! OK, I confess, it was taken over the Nevada desert, there I said it.

But wait! The Nevada desert doesn't look like this, so it was England after all.

Beautiful!

Thanks Peter, I've been around a while and posted stuff up in the past but you can keep saying welcome if you like... it's nice. You look like a young whippersnapper to me, should you be up this late ?
