I saw the programme with Timothy West and Prunella Scales on their narrowboat, but I've yet no idea on this. I thought Dave might have got it with locks. I'll have a think while we drive home tomorrow.

Yes Dave, she's thrilled, but she's having an iPad for Christmas and selling the laptop. She's also very happy that the house is clean and tidy Smile

I like narrowboats and canals.I've been on the Llangollen Canal.I'll watch ' Great Canal Journeys' on DVD or on TV one day I hope.

Could be the two steam driven engines at Crofton Beam Engines pumping station near Great Bedwyn in Wiltshire. Number one from 1812 is a Boulton & Watt  engine and number 2 was built by Harvey and Co in 1846.

He has indeed, very well done Ken- you do seem to pull them out of the hat .

Visited there a few years back ( before I went  digital) and I think the only shots I have are few film prints and not sure where they would be these days. The pumping station then was a really interesting day out and we were there on a steaming day so everything was going which made it that more special. Do remember between the pumping station and the K&A it served the London to Bristol railway ran and the trains don't half thunder through at that point.

Anyway, very well done Ken and back to you sir.
