What is the name of the very high domed hall/monument built in Germany in the mid 1800s? In the hall, there are 34  10.8 feet high white marble statues of Nike the Winged Goddess of Victory.

My first thought was the Pergamon Museum in Berlin, fascinating place but I don't recall if the building was domed or not.

OK John, I'm still not sure this is right though Smile

I think it might be Befreiungshalle, or the Hall of Liberation.

Yes Ruth, it's the Befreiungshalle (Hall of Liberation) above the town of Kelheim in the district of Kelheim. Well done .Over to you.

I didn't know this imposing monument existed until I went on an excursion which was part of a river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest. The monument was built to commemorate victories against Napoleon during the Wars of Liberation 1813-1815.
