OK, I've come up with a chap born in Switzerland in 1914 by the name of Franz Von Werra, can't say I've ever heard of him but if his name's correct I can research what he was famous for.

Ah, I'm thinking this might be something on the lines of him being the only Axis prisoner of war to escape from an Allied prisoner of war camp and make it back to Germany. He was taken prisoner initially when he was shot down over England.
