48% of Brits want to Emigrate Overseas

I'm an Anglophile so I was shocked to read the following article in an English newspaper when I was in England recently.

 "Almost half of all Britons are “seriously considering” moving overseas, an exclusive survey for The Sun has found. Australia is top of the relocation wish list followed by the US, Canada and New Zealand. The cost of living, weather, unemployment and crime are the most common reasons for wanting to quit Britain.Pollsters YouGov quizzed 1,650 adults  "

The traffic is already very heavy on roads in Australian capital cities. Extra migration will result in more traffic jams in Australian cities.

According to The Sun newspaper, independent think tank Migration Observatory,the number of foreign -born people in the UK increased from 3.8 million in 1993 to 7 milion in 2010. Immigration has changed the face of Britain faster than any major country except Italy.Between 2005 and 2010 when tougher controls started to be enforced, immigration to the UK halved.

Well, I usually watch "House Hunter's International" nightly as I Lay down an rest an bit...most the ones I see leaving England go to Spain, Carrrabean Islands, Austrailia, Belgium, Germany in that order...so far. While Cannadians prefer South America and Mexico. Americans go anywhere the sun shiines these days and it's temperate, but they also like the Asian countries. That' is from what I have obsserved on Tv so far. Most of them take to ski lodge areas, lake resorts, "view" countries, where they can buy up in the hills and have panoramic views of everything.

The UK 'free for all' is what is p.....g off us Brits in truth. We work our backsides off, bring our families up to respect the law, educate them, expect them to find a job to support themselves, but what do we actually get?

More and more immigrants are still arriving daily to fill the schools, take the jobs and the benefits that we have paid for throughout our life (to which they have contributed nothing) and still they get given everything from designer clothes, cars, mobile phones, food vouchers, housing, washing machines, fridges...the list goes on and on. It is b....y disgraceful and has got to stop, but no wonder everybody on this earth wants to 'get to the UK' where the streets are paved with gold.

But make no mistake change is coming, the worm is turning and the man who will lead the change is Nigel Farage from UKIP. He's a straight talker and the Tories, Labour, Liberals are openly worried about him.

Cameron and cronies take note.....the UK is FULL! Stop the immigration NOW and if you don't, then Nigel Farage will.

This country really has gone to the dogs, but why should we upsticks and move to another country (where I might add we would have to toe the line) just because the people voted in to look after the country have one agenda....to look after number one!

And we said the bankers are crooks?

Unfortunately, Ron, once people have entered this country, it is virtually impossible to do anything about it. Over the centuries, England has welcomed immigrants from many other parts of the world -- Huguenots from religious persecution in France, Jews from persecution in Europe, West Indians seeking work in the 50's and 60's, to name but a few, and many others who have enriched our society and who have seamlessly integrated into English life. Immigration in controlled numbers can enrich society. The current problem has been caused by Gordon Brown and his chums who encouraged immigration in huge numbers to bolster the Labour vote. Back then, before the banking crisis, they could be bountiful with money they didn't really have.

Now this country is in a bad way, many other EU countries are in an even worse state than us, and no doubt we will be seen as a 'soft touch' as usual. I do not share your optimism that Nigel Farage can do much - what has been done cannot easily be undone.

.....Where did your freinds find better weather and cheaper living conditions ....when they moved if I may ask.

Ron,.... Melinda Gates (Mrs. Bill Gates) is going to help, with 360 some million dollars for good old fashioned "birth control" world wide. Maybe she's like me.... tired of seeing so much child abuse going on these days...and an second woman left her baby out  in the street to get run over...this time in Russia...they gave her 9 years in prison and took her child away( most likley sold to an adoption agency)...she sited that she simply did not have the money tor raise it and no one offered an help in Russia. I wonder at times where is the compassion to "love" something so tiny and innocent..though they said the baby cried night and day from being hungry.

I'm still waiting fo rour Government to help teh Native Americans above the poverty line.... and on thier terms also. Have they not suffered enough already? Yes, take thier booze and drugs away from them... and then help them..they don't need them anyway.

James, those who do come in and want to work, and many do, will work for lower wages than the indigenous UK citizen. The scandalous figures for youth unemployment have been swelled by our own youngsters who will not work for the wages which an immigrant will work for. This is not the immigrant's fault, but a result of the benefit entitlement culture encouraged by Labour.

I agree that those that come in with huge families and are housed at our expense in Kensington town-houses at £2000 per week is another matter. These anomalies are now being addressed. 

Most of the eastern European people in Reading (my nearest big town) are Poles. Many are employed in the building and catering trades. I have observed that they seem to be hard working and have a better work ethic than many of our cossetted youth. Anyone who has had work done by Polish builders are usually impressed. Another observation is that Poles generally enjoy socialising more than the somewhat reserved Brits, and may get a little loud when inebriated.

Again I say you can't blame the immigrant for doing the jobs which we seem reluctant to do. Not forgeting the contribution in WW2 by the Polish Airforce as I am reminded every time I pass by the Polish war memorial on the A40 near Northolt.
