OK, here is the update for the Christmas gift exchange.

So far I have ten people signed up, including myself.

If any one else wants to sign up please send me an email with the word POE in the subject line. Email me your name, address and if you have a country preference ( although I can't promise the country as it depends on who signs up)

As for guidelines. I would say a simple gift, small would be convenient if sending abroad.

I will collect names until the end of September, then I will assign and email everybody involved.

Any questions email me or post here.

The end of September has gone and tomorrow names will go into a hat.

Thanks to all of those who have chosen to participate.

Tomorrow an email will be on it's way with your secret POE family member.

Just to get you into the mood, a little Christmas smiley

Only just seen this Sue H, MG. The probable truth is that some are suffering severe financial hardship. I for one am not ashamed to admit to it, and so for that reason am not able to contribute. I can only blame the financial mess that this Government has handed us with over 100 additional taxes applied since they got in! There is a limit to how much water you can drain from the dishcloth!

As an afterthought, if you do have money to spare, might I respectfully suggest you make a donation to Chris and Sarah at POE to help keep the site running, now that would be useful.

I can't help this but when I had first started work, we had an Christmas gift exchange that year, if you were an girl, you brought an female gift and so forth if you were an male..and so it was..well, I asked the gal I worked with what she got to give away as her gift to someone else..., and she said an box of hankies she'd gotten the year before that she didn't want..so didn't think to much about it...we went to the party, sang, did skits and had the gift exchange, we got back to our departments to open up our gifts..I opened up mine,an really nice desert dish..she opened up hers, it was her present from last year....the hankies. We had to laugh in ways..she says "it figures" I guess.
