Me, too, Lynn.  One of the most artistic bands ever.  Brian May is the best rock guitarist ever bar none!

I know you know who Paul Rodgers is - lead singer for Free, Bad Company, the Firm?  "All Right Now,"  "Can't Get Enough of Your Love," "Movin' On, among others?  Ring any bells?

A lot of people are a little put off that anyone could sing for Queen other than Freddie, but Paul R fits in just fine in his own right.  He doesn't try to be Freddie, but, of course, nobody could.  Go on to YouTube and check them out.

That was a nice clip of Neil Diamond.  I had never heard the song "Pretty Amazing Grace"; it's really lovely isn't it?

I did like Queen but can't say they are my favorite group ever.  Although I really loved some of the stuff they recorded for the "Highlander" series, especially "Who Wants to Live Forever"...a haunting ballad that.Smile

Hi Diana:

Yes, Who Wants To Live Forever, and all the songs from their 2 last records.  Those were their best.  Judging from your picture, they may be a little before your time, when they were in their heyday.Laughing

Denzil - I'm intrigued.  Tell us about the Travellers.  Do they have a Freddie lookalike?  I think it would be a very ambitious thing to try to imitate Queen, esp. Freddie.  Are you going to any of their shows in the fall?  I don't know if any of the concert dates are in Cornwall, but if you check their website, they will have the schedule.

Oh leave it out Ruth, Diana is as old as the hills!

And yeah, c'mon Denzil tell us about the Travellers - where and when are they performing for example? Might take a while to answer eh?
