Hi Folks, I thought it would be fun to swap favorite quotes. I'll start with one of mine:

"Diplomacy is the art of saying "Nice doggie" until you can find a rock."
Will Rogers

My all time favourite quote is:

I know the price of success: dedication, hard work, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen.
Frank Lloyd Wright

I just wish I could apply it to my life a little more.

Don't worry Sue, according to what I have read Frank Lloyd Wright didn't apply it very well either!

I don't get it either Lyn.  Maybe it means to be quick about getting things done (don't procrastinate) but take the time to do it correctly?Undecided

Here we say "You clothes me slowly that I have a great hurry", and it means what Diana explained to you.

My mum's favourite quote. It means if you hurry something, you are more likely to make mistakes and thus it will take you longer to acomplish it.

I'm paraphrasing a little bit here...one of my favourites is "When they finally discover the center of the Universe, a lot  of people are going to be surprised that it isn't them..." By Bernard somebody or other....I think.

I'm just going to check out my huge book of quotations!
