Wow, doesn't sound like a hobby.  Sounds like you were a pro!  I can see why you would have been discouraged after the theft.  But that was a long time ago, and we must move forward, mustn't we?  If you love music, and love to play, you shoudn't give up on it.  What a happy memory it must be for you, having your father teach you to play.  Maybe you could pick up a used guitar somewhere, even if you only play for yourself and/or friends and family.  Sorry about giving unsolicited advice, Peter, but we're all dragging around some little cross.  Have to go on livng though, ya know?

I have a guitar Ruth. A friend baught it for me after mine went, but due to ill health now, it is too heavy for me to carry. Cant even play it for more than a few minutes. Still, I have my camera and the computer, so I still have photography.

Well, that's great, Peter.  And if this website is anything to go by, photography can certainly be an outlet for your creative, artistic side.

There would be also enough for a website of your own, Peter !   Have you ever thought about a www.peterevans.co.uk ?   Photo'S to view, your audio clips to download.....and the most spamming newsletter that you can think of free for Ron, of course ;-)
