All is well here Ruth---been into town to-day met a few friends and arranged our Christmas do---only six of us active now.

I've just paid the deposit for our Christmas do today. There's 6 of us too. Us plus David's brother, sister and other halves. It's the only time we all get together. I'm an only child or there would be more of us.

Money aint everything Ruth --we never had much 5 of us in a 2 up 2 down pit house --happy though

Very true James, anything we wanted we saved for too, never borrowed anything. If we didn't have the money to pay for something, we didn't have it - simple

Pity folks ain't like that now  Ruth, country wouldn't be anywhere near the state it's in .... as you say .... simple, but the simple minded don't see it that way ... they rely on idiots like us....

As Ruth says if you didnt have the cash you did without-not like these days
