I am quite small and fit neatly in one hand. I am a single item albeit part of a larger item and there have been several of me

I was thinking you must have seen a very small space shuttle John Laughing

Fit in one hand, can't be part of space debris/comet etc as they'd be all different sizes Undecided

I've just read the question again, Dave never mentions that the item has been in space, just that 1 part returned to Earth. Maybe we're looking to high up.

Not moon rocks Ruth, but a bit of lateral thinking could edge you towards what I am. I am a single component of a larger item and several of me have returned to EarthWink

Thats close enough Vince ... the film magazine or film back. Only the backs were brought back to cut down on weight for the moon rocks. There are still 12 highly specialized Hasselblad 500 bodies with specially designed lenses still on the moon. NASA say they are free to anyone who can get there to collect them!!

Well that is it then, Us POE folk get together nip up there grab ourselves one each and take some cracking shots of this green and pleseant land to display here------------ or are they resting in a hangar somewhere in the desert of America where the moon landings were staged?   Conspiracy theories and Capricorn One come to mind.

Better start thinking seriously and be back soon.
