Where have all the Primroses gone that used to grow in the hedgerows? When I was little they used to be everywhere.

Oh, how odd, only this year did I say to her indoors "Look, it's been ages since we last saw some primroses" she quickly put me right by telling me what I saw was dandylyons (bad spelling). I remember as a kid primroses on the banks of railway lines, millions of em. Do they still frequent the said locations?

There were loads of primroses up the hills where I live this year, the fields had them dotted all over them, pretty little clumps of yellow.  There used to be a lovely carpet of red on the sides of the roads here in my village, poppy's, they looked lovely until they dug them all up for a by-pass and a new housing development which we fought to stop and miserably failed.Frown

There were lots in the woods too, this year. In fact more than I ever remember. Lyn, what a rotten tale of concrete over the poppies. They are a load of philistines....that doesn't include my son's firm as they try to build on brownfield sites wherever possible!!Innocent
