I just remebered a poem I learned at school.

I've never seen a purple cow,

I never hope to see one.

But I can tell you anyhow,

I'd rather see than be one.

As I walked the lane and over the hillock

I saw that Peter, what a pillock!

Trousers down, looking over his shoulder

They won't know, I left this boulder!

Phuuurp!! (I hope you've all had your dinner!)

This is one of my favourite poems by John Betjeman
 In a Bath Teashop
"Let us not speak, for the love we bear one another—
Let us hold hands and look."
She such a very ordinary little woman;
He such a thumping crook;
But both, for a moment, little lower than the angels
In the teashop's ingle-nook.

Good Morning Ruth,

I would hardly describe you as 'such a very ordinary little woman', and I do not know if Denzil has any 'previous convictions', but what am I saying; Denzil does not exist and the poem is pretty meaningless if it is just an ordinary little woman looking at an empty chair in a teashop, don't you think?

so, Ruth, the answer is 'no' I have not been spying on you.

Please note, you IT wizards out there, that I 'cut and pasted' sucessfully. I am now surrounded by little bits of paper, glue all over my keyboard, and where the heck are my scissors now!
