I would love to see and know to which plant you are referring to, maybe Andy will put it on for all to see. I take pictures of wild flowers and have great fun naming them from my 6 books and if I am still not sure I send it/them to the owners of the wild flower web sites who always find the answer. Sometimes there are 'weeds' on the edge of the pavements but if I see a speck of colour I take a close up then enlarge it on the computer and it is really surprising what pretty little flowers they are. I love the smell of the grass when it has just been cut. Nice to know other people who share these feelings.Smile

I could try to post it here in this thread, and if it doesn't work, I know POE can make it happen. It's just that it's not a picture that I think needs to take up space on the site. So I will go and see about it.

Watch this space.

Sue. I'm 90 percent certain your mystery flower is garlic mustard....alliara petiolata. It has a scent like sweet garlic...hence the name, does that ring a bell? Andy.

This didn't work last time, but POE was able to sort it out. can you do it again POE?

I'm not familiar with Sweet Garlic, and I can't say I recognised any garlic smell, but of course, you could be right.

I'll google it.

Thank you Andy, your a brick!

OK, if you click on the underlined bit, it should take you to the picture, though I hope POE can get the picture to show.

I'm 90 percent sure it ISN'T garlic mustard now. It looked like it in my book (small picture!!) but I've googled it and it's not really that similar. Still, I will continue looking now!

The leaves are a perfect match. Andy, I think you have got it.

So in one day I name your mystery duck, and you name my mystery plant. I'd say we're a team.

Thank you.

OK, so the leaves are a little more pointy than my leaves. Maybe it's in the garlic family, as it's awful close.
