I have just received in the post the DVD A Picture of Britain by David Dimbley. Stunning scenery, great narration (and I've only watched the first 10 minutes).

All of you Americans sick for the beauty of Britain need to invest in a universal DVD player and get this DVD along with COAST and Nature of Britain, and that's just starters.

Christmas is coming, put it on your list and you'll be happy all year.

How many of you in England remember seeing Picture of Britain on TV?

Picture of Britain was a wonderful series, and David Dimbleby was excellent. It is still often shown on UK TV Gold.

Sounds like a delightful show. I'd love to see it.Smile

I've recently downgraded my cable package and no longer get the BBC America channel (I am already having withdrawal symptoms!  LOL!), which I imagine is the channel it may have been broadcast on here.
