The few Wire in the Blood episodes I saw via Netflix were profoundly disturbing - there was on about a maniac who somehow captured a decorated young veteran on a city bus and built a 'special' torture chair to kill him. and filmed it. TV viewers got to see a drawing version of it. Perhaps I'll try again, b/c I agree the main character is handsome, but the implied violence to a fine young brave person was too much to stomach. I cannot explain this, since I love the genre of mystery and detective stories. Just pushed a person envelope I suppose. Chris G.
